Archie Coulter Conservation Area

The Archie Coulter Conservation Area is one of the best kept secrets of our area.  It is large and diversified enough to provide a good walk even taking different routes each time.  It is located between St. Thomas and Aylmer off Hyw 3 (Talbot Line), south of the Pleasant Valley Golf Course.  It is reached by going to Brouwers Line between Powers Rd. and Penhale/Tisdale Rd.

Archie Coulter sometimes provides exceptional photographic opportunities at different times of the year, since it sometimes floods, freezes, and recedes in the spring.

Spring eventually comes along with the some requisite flooding, followed by the colours of summer in Ontario.

Above–arrow shows location of parking lot west of the “A” off Brouwers Line.  The park is located on 133 acres where the east and west branches of Catfish Creek meet at a fork near the bridge on Brouwers Line. The St. Thomas Dog Owners Association is a non-profit organization that promotes off leash dog parks and supports responsible dog ownership and the welfare of dogs.
